Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications utilizing modern software engineering best practices.• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers within an Agile/SAFe framework.• Translate requirements into functional software solutions in partnership with systems engineering and program teams.• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, refactoring, debugging, and test creation processes.• Integrate services with databases, messaging systems, and external APIs.• Work closely with QA, DevOps, and platform teams to ensure reliable software delivery.What You'll Need• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).• 2+ years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree.• Demonstrated experience building and supporting microservices-based systems.• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, or similar on a Linux-based system).• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled systems, automation, or intelligent platforms.• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust investigation.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary ($69,550 – $125,725) plus potential for bonuses.• The chance to work on critical software supporting national infrastructure operations.• A hybrid work model providing flexibility.• A role focused on utilizing AI as a tool to accelerate development and improve system reliability.Apply via Haystack today!
