Electrical Technician - 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Job Description Cleaver Brooks is looking for an Electrical Technician - 1st Shift to join our team in Lincoln, NE. The Electrical Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels and related assemblies in accordance with engineering schematics, quality standards, and production requirements. This role requires the ability to interpret technical drawings, perform accurate wiring and terminations, and execute standard electrical testing procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Any salary estimation specified in this job board may or may not be aligned with our organization's pay philosophy. Apply to connect with a Talent Acquisition Partner who can provide you more details!Job Location: Lincoln, NEShift: 1stShift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) daily overtime after 8 hours, and occasional weekends as needed.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssemble and wire electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies per engineering schematics and blueprintsRead and interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts listsMount back panel devices and components according to layout specificationsCut, trim, strip, route, and fasten wiring to ensure secure and organized installationsMake accurate electrical terminations and connectionsInstall and mount electrical conduit and panels as requiredInspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, fit, alignment, and defectsMeasure dimensions and clearances to ensure proper assemblyPerform functional and continuity testing using multimeters and related diagnostic toolsIdentify and correct basic wiring discrepancies or assembly errors prior to final inspectionTag and label components and assemblies accuratelyAccurately report labor and production data in company systemsMaintain productivity levels aligned with plant performance goalsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and support 5S workplace standardsMaintain a clean and organized work areaAssist in training new or less experienced team membersAdhere to all safety policies, OSHA regulations, quality standards, and the Company's Code of ConductPerform other duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED preferred3+ years of electrical assembly experience in a manufacturing environmentTechnical or vocational training in electrical technology preferredQualifications & Technical SkillsAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to read a tape measure accuratelyBasic computer skills for data entry and file accessStrong attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a team-based manufacturing environmentWorking understanding of electrical fundamentals (volts, amps, ohms)Experience using hand tools, wiring tools, and various power toolsProficient in the use of multimeters and electrical testing equipmentKnowledge of common electrical components such as PLCs, transformers, capacitors, relays, and related devicesUnderstanding of electrical logic and component function within a circuitAbility to perform standard electrical testing proceduresPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to stand and work on feet for extended periods (8–10 hours)Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and stoopingManual dexterity required for handling small components and wiringAbility to distinguish wire colors accuratelyAbility to lift up to 40 poundsExposure to a manufacturing environment with moving equipment and moderate noise levelsRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Safety & Quality CommitmentFollow all plant safety procedures and OSHA regulationsSupport Lockout/Tagout and other safety protocols as requiredPromote a culture of safety and accountabilityComply with plant quality standards and inspection requirementsBenefits of Being a Cleaver-Brooks Employee:Competitive salaryComprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, maternity support program, discounted virtual physician visits, voluntary medical benefits (Critical Illness, Hospital Care, and Accidental Injury), FSA, HSA, life insurance, short term and long-term disabilityCash matching 401(k) planEmployee assistance program (EAP)Pet insuranceEmployee discount programTuition assistancePaid time off and 11 paid holidaysWho is Cleaver-Brooks:Cleaver-Brooks is the market leader in providing fully integrated boiler and burner systems.
