MachinistContract to direct hire (Contract solely for training duration, typically 3 months)3rd shift: Friday-Sunday (6am-6pm)Compensation: Flexible depending on experience levels (Typically between 23-30/hr but flexible for experience)Must be able to pass background and drug screeningPosition OverviewThis role is responsible for producing precision parts using both manual and CNC machining equipment. The position supports daily production by setting up machines, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring parts meet required specifications.Depending upon position placed, different machine operation requirements will be present.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC and manual machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM equipment to manufacture partsSet up machines, including installing tools, fixtures, and materials needed for each jobRead blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine machining steps and specificationsMeasure parts using tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy and qualityMonitor machining operations and adjust speeds, feeds, or settings as needed Inspect parts during and after production to identify defects and ensure complianceSelect appropriate tools and materials based on job requirementsPerform routine maintenance on machines following scheduled guidelinesWork with engineering, supervisors, and team members to resolve issues and share information Assemble or repair tooling and components as neededKeep work area clean and organized and follow workplace organization standardsComplete additional tasks as assignedBasic QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCNC training or certification preferredExperience & SkillsAt least 2 years of machining experience, including CNC and multi-axis equipmentFamiliarity with Fanuc controls and CNC programmingUnderstanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email)Experience with time tracking or production systemsKnowledge of quality standards (ISO, AS9100, NADCAP, or similar preferred)Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasksGood communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentSelf-motivated, dependable, and adaptablePhysical & Work RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs as neededWork in a manufacturing environment with noise, moving equipment, and other hazardsUse of required safety gear such as gloves, respirators, or protective suitsClose visual attention required for inspection and precision workINDE
