Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in various settings in home health environments. The COTA will assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals by implementing treatment plans and supporting activities of daily living (ADLs). Responsibilities: Assist patients with ADLs, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life. Implement treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist, ensuring adherence to care plans. Provide therapy services in home health. Monitor patient progress and document outcomes accurately in compliance with medical standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and rehabilitation strategies. Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques and home exercises to support ongoing recovery. Maintain a clean and safe working environment while adhering to all health regulations. Skills : Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices. Experience assisting with ADLs in various settings such as geriatrics, pediatrics, inpatient care, and outpatient services. Familiarity with developing and executing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Background in occupational health and home care setting experience is preferred ( not required). Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Ability to adapt therapy techniques based on patient progress and feedback.
