Production Supervisor (Day Shift)

Job Title: Production SupervisorDepartment: OperationsReports To: Production ManagerFLSA Status: Exempt Primary Responsibilities: Own shift performance, including safety, quality, throughput, labor efficiency, and waste Lead daily shift startup, execution, and handoff to ensure consistency across all shifts Actively manage line performance in real time, including: Monitoring run rates and output Identifying and addressing downtime Escalating issues quickly when needed Drive adherence to standard work, operating procedures, and GMP requirements Ensure all products meet defined quality standards, including weight, appearance, and packaging requirements Partner closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and rapid response to issues Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all EHS requirements Lead and develop front-line employees through coaching, accountability, and clear performance expectations Ensure proper staffing and positioning of employees to meet production targets Drive labor efficiency and minimize waste, including material giveaway and rework Conduct daily communication with team members, including: Shift huddles Clear expectations for performance Feedback on results Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity Maintain accurate and timely reporting of shift performance, including downtime, output, and key KPIs Collaborate cross-functionally with FSQA, Maintenance, and Warehouse to ensure smooth operations Hold team members accountable to performance, behavior, and attendance standards Support onboarding and training of new employees to build a capable and reliable workforce Perform other duties as assigned or of a similar nature or levelCore CompetenciesDrive High Performance: Establishes clear accountability for outcomes.
