Java developer

LOCATION: Columbus, Ohio POSITION TYPE: ASAP – 06/30/2026 POSITION TERMS: 100% Onsite Interviews will be onsite Immediate need for Java developer to assist with understanding and redeveloping legacy COBOL code in Java. This role is ideal for a more senior developer with extensive knowledge of Java with hands-on full lifecycle implementation experience capable of wearing different hats as needed (solutions consultant, technical lead, project manager). The ideal candidate will possess strong solutions knowledge and have successfully completed integrating business solutions (from conception to completion) using Java to fit the client’s needs. Given successful effort on the primary assignment, additional code rewrite opportunities may be possible. Excellent communication and leadership skills both written and oral. Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines. Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Must meet productivity standards, complete work in timely manner and strive to increase productivity. Strong proficiency in Java (8/11/17+) programming language and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles. Expertise with popular Java frameworks and libraries (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA). Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Proficiency in database technologies (relational databases like MySQL,Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server). Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle). Skill Required / Desired Amount Number of Years Industry/professional experience in Java solution development in the Windows environment.
