Director of Finance

DeVivo Companies, part of DATTCO, Inc., is a family-owned transportation business operating across school bus, motorcoach, and related services. We are seeking a Director of Finance to partner directly with executive and operating leaders to drive disciplined decision-making, operational improvement, and long-term financial performance.This is a high-impact role for a practical finance leader who wants to be close to the business—not just reporting results but shaping outcomes.What You’ll Do Deliver clear, timely financial reporting and insight across multiple operating unitsAnalyze monthly and quarterly results, identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunitiesBuild and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance scorecards for leadershipProvide financial modeling and recommendations for:Fleet and capital investmentsPricing and contract decisionsLabor and operational structure changesFacilities, technology, and system investmentsPartner with operations leaders to improve margins, productivity, and cost disciplineLead or support budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, and long-range planningSupport capital allocation decisions with ROI, cash flow, and leverage awarenessMentor finance staff and improve finance processes and analytical rigorWhat We’re Looking For10+ years of progressive finance experience with leadership responsibilityStrong background in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI evaluationExperience in asset-intensive or operationally complex businesses preferredAbility to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial leadersBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred)Why DeVivoDirect exposure to executive leadership and meaningful decision-makingA finance role that influences how capital is deployed and how the business growsPragmatic, values-driven culture with long-tenured leadershipOpportunity to make a visible impact in a stable, growing organizationQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status and any other protected classes.
