Optometric Technician
We are looking for an Optometric Technician to join our team. As an Optometric Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the optometrist in providing excellent patient care and customer service.
Duties:
- Perform preliminary testing on patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and eye muscle movements
- Obtain patient medical history and chief complaint
- Perform diagnostic tests such as visual fields, OCTs, and fundus photography
- Assist with contact lens fittings and trainings
- Perform medical coding and billing
- Manage medical records and ensure they are up to date
- Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance
- Provide retail sales assistance to patients
- Use electronic medical records
Skills:
- Knowledge of pediatrics is preferred
- Strong retail math skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Optometric Technician program preferred but not necessary
- Sales experience preferred
