Description* This listing is to support various openings across the US and Canada*Join Amazon's Transportation Operations Management (TOM) team as an Associate Learning & Development Trainer and play a crucial role in shaping our transportation network's future. In this DOT-regulated position, you'll combine your transportation expertise with hands-on training delivery to develop our Transportation Associates' (TAs) critical skills. You'll lead classroom, virtual, and yard training sessions, focusing on safety, operational excellence, and compliance. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact one of the world's largest transportation networks while developing your own skills in training delivery and operational support.Key job responsibilitiesTraining DeliveryDeliver standardized classroom, virtual, and hands-on training following established curriculumConduct comprehensive new hire onboarding covering yard safety, equipment operation, and Amazon policiesProvide continuous education programs including safety refreshers and operational updatesOver-the-Road (OTR) TrainingDeliver safe driving techniques and defensive driving principlesEnsure compliance with DOT requirements through proper vehicle inspections and documentationTrain associates on route planning, navigation, and emergency response protocolsSafety and OperationsExecute yard safety observations and provide real-time coaching to Transportation AssociatesSupport yard operations during high-volume events through yard management and shuttlingPartner with site leadership to maintain safety standards and operational excellenceDocumentation and ComplianceMaintain accurate training records including attendance, completion, and safety observationsTrack and report training metrics while providing feedback on program effectivenessEnsure compliance with Amazon policies, safety protocols, and DOT regulationsA day in the lifeYour day might begin with a virtual training session on compliance updates or safety protocols. You could then transition to hands-on yard training, demonstrating proper equipment operation and safety practices. In the afternoon, you might conduct over-the-road training, working one-on-one with associates to develop their driving skills. During peak periods, you'll flex between training delivery and supporting critical yard operations. Throughout the day, you'll document training completion, provide coaching, and ensure all activities comply with DOT regulations.About the teamThe Associate Learning and Development (ALD) Training Delivery Team implements comprehensive transportation training programs through hands-on and classroom instruction. Our team collaborates with cross-organizational stakeholder groups to deliver high-quality, timely training that drives operational success and maintains safety excellence. Through engaging instructional techniques and practical skills building, we create an environment that encourages continuous learning and curiosity among transportation associates. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
