Lead TechnicianNow Hiring for Optima, OK!Transdev in Optima, OK is seeking an experienced Technician to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles and equipment which will primarily be pickup trucks, class 8 trucks and trailer. As a Lead Technician, you'll play a crucial role in making repairs as well as guiding and leading our other technicians to ensure the safety, efficiency, and longevity for our customers vehicles.Transdev is proud to offer:Competitive compensation package of minimum $30.00 - Maximum $40.00 / hrSign On Bonus -$1,500.00Benefits include:Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeksSick days: 5 daysHolidays: 8 days; 6 standard and 2 floatingOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.Key Responsibilities:Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic and advanced maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, check fluid levels, change fluids and filters and lubricate components.Perform mechanical repairs under moderate supervision including the repair of brakes and brake inspections, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, internal engine components and other repairs.Maintain records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used. Ensure that work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain parts usage records and order repair parts from designated suppliersPreventative maintenance (PM's), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usageRemove and replace and repair engine, transmission and differential assemblies.Diagnoses and performs accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair .Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action takenEvaluates completed work prior to release and seeks approval where requiredEvaluates completed work of others prior to releaseLead and train the other technicians in you work groupAssist with road calls and emergency services as necessaryAdhere to Transdev standards, policies and proceduresMoves vehicles safely between job and work areaRepair and maintain all shop equipmentCleans vehicles as requested or requiredOther responsibility as requested or requiredEducation:High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred)Class A CDL with air brake endorsement (preferred)State inspection license (if required)ASE Certification preferred.Extensive mechanical aptitude and 5 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experienceAdhere to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standardsValid driver's licenseMaintain an organized shop and clean work environmentMaking sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customersPossess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties and maintained in a clean and safe manner.Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
