This role is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, ensuring accurate billing. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of insurance policies, billing procedures, and excellent communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to servicesCalculate out of pocket expensesAccurately enter and update patient insurance information in the systemSubmit claims and ensure timely billingReview and resolve claim denials and discrepanciesCommunicate with insurance companies regarding claims and coverageWork closely with front desk and clinical staff to ensure accurate informationMaintain compliance with HIPAA and company policiesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (required)13 years of medical billing and/or insurance verification experienceKnowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding preferredFamiliarity with EMR/EHR systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience in [specialty, surgery center, ophthalmology, etc.]
