DescriptionSummary/Objective:The Machinist operates machines to fabricate finished parts to specifications while holding tolerances up to +/- .0001. The Machinist loads parts in the machine, cycle's machine, and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment.Benefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid time off401(k)401(k) matchingEmployee assistance program Key Responsibilities:Uphold the company values, vision, and mission and quality policy.Follow company policies and procedures.CNC Programming: Create and modify CNC programs based on engineering drawings and models.Machine Setup: Set up and prepare CNC machines, ensuring proper alignment, tooling installation, and workpiece fixation.Quality Control: Perform in-process inspections and use precision measuring instruments to verify the quality of machined components.Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot machining issues, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance and part quality.Safety and Maintenance: Adhere to safety protocols and perform routine machine maintenance to ensure equipment remains in peak operating condition.Process Optimization: Continuously improve machining processes to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and minimize scrap.Other duties as assigned. Education:Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC MachinistPrecision Machining: Demonstrated expertise in machining complex parts with tight tolerance.Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve machining issues effectively.Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to qualify control and adherence to precise specifications.Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide clear updates on machining projects.
