This role is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting PC and peripheral lab environments used for software validation, automation execution, device testing, and engineering support. The role ensures lab equipment, automation PCs, peripherals, connected devices, and related infrastructure remain operational, reliable, and available for continuous use, including 24/7 execution where required.The role supports the health, readiness, and stability of lab assets by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting hardware and software environment issues, documenting equipment status, escalating failures, and coordinating with engineering and quality teams to keep validation environments running efficiently. The role may assist with basic validation or test execution as needed, but the primary focus is lab maintenance, equipment readiness, operational support, and continuous lab availability.The role follows established procedures, maintains accurate documentation, supports process improvements, and helps ensure that lab systems, devices, and peripherals are properly configured, maintained, and available to internal stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesMaintains PC and peripheral lab environments used for software validation, automation execution, device testing, troubleshooting, and engineering support.Ensures lab equipment, automation PCs, peripherals, connected devices, and supporting systems remain operational, stable, and available for continuous use, including 24/7 operation where required.Monitors the health and readiness of lab systems, including automation test runners, Windows PCs, connected peripherals, device setups, network connectivity, power state, system availability, and environmental readiness.Performs routine maintenance on lab PCs, peripherals, and automation systems, including system restarts, updates, configuration checks, device resets, cable checks, basic software troubleshooting, and basic hardware troubleshooting.Maintains and supports automation PC test runners by ensuring systems are online, properly configured, connected to required peripherals, and ready to execute scheduled or on-demand validation activities.Identifies, triages, documents, and escalates lab equipment issues, including hardware failures, software environment problems, connectivity issues, peripheral failures, unstable automation runners, and unavailable test systems.Restores lab availability by following established recovery procedures, replacing or reseating equipment where appropriate, coordinating repairs, and escalating unresolved issues to engineering, IT, facilities, or other support teams.Maintains accurate documentation of lab assets, system configurations, equipment status, test runner availability, maintenance activities, known issues, recovery steps, and issue resolution history.Supports lab inventory and asset tracking for PCs, peripherals, test devices, cables, adapters, accessories, power supplies, and related equipment.Assists engineering and quality teams by preparing lab systems, configuring devices, validating environment readiness, and helping resolve lab issues that block validation, automation execution, or engineering investigations.Helps distinguish between lab environment issues, hardware failures, peripheral issues, automation infrastructure problems, and potential product software defects.Executes basic validation checks or software test activities as needed to confirm lab readiness, equipment functionality, automation runner stability, or issue resolution.Communicates lab status, equipment risks, blockers, maintenance needs, and system availability to engineering, quality, and other internal stakeholders.Supports process improvements related to lab uptime, equipment reliability, automation readiness, asset tracking, maintenance procedures, and operational efficiency.Adheres to established company, legal, regulatory, security, and confidentiality standards when working with company systems, devices, data, and lab environments.Completes routine to moderately complex assignments using established procedures while developing technical knowledge of lab systems, test infrastructure, devices, peripherals, and internal processes.Shares technical information with colleagues and stakeholders to support consistent lab operations, repeatable maintenance practices, and effective issue resolution.Education & ExperienceHS Diploma or higher1+ years of relevant experienceThe pay range for this position is $22 to $28 USD per hour (applies to United States of America candidates only).
