Senior Right of Way AgentPrimary ResponsibilitiesProvide support during project pre-negotiation due diligenceCoordinate right-of-way and utility issues for clients as assignedBe responsible for schedule and budget of assignmentsBe proficient in implementing applicable federal, state and industry laws and regulations such as FHWA, FAA, FTA, FRA, FERC, NEPA and the Uniform Act, as well as the client's policies and proceduresIn conjunction with others, perform activities to support right of way projects, such as property assessments, risk analysis, acquisition of needed rights, occupant relocation, property management, construction coordination, and utility relocation/coordinationConduct complex negotiations for acquisition of rights relative to public or private projectsPrioritize work and perform activities at a high levelWork independently or closely with a team, confidently with clients, property owners and occupants, and be flexible for travel, as requiredCommunicate and document effectivelyWork flexible hours and coordinate closely with managementPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience acquiring properties for the Department of Transportation or local municipalitiesProject Management or Deputy Project Management ExperienceAA degree or equivalent experienceDatabase and GIS familiarityStrong attention to detailStrong communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to work individually and in a team environmentValid Driver's LicenseAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePointExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated organizational, planning, and prioritization skillsAbility to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines, as well as balance multiple projects by prioritizing effectivelyAbility to understand applicable laws, policies, and procedures by which each project is governedAbility to work from Client offices as neededSupervisory experienceBe able to work from HDR's Boston office at least three days a weekPreference given to local candidatesRequired QualificationsA minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate, right-of-way, title, utility coordination, relocation, or property managementAbility to understand and work in compliance with the Uniform Act, federal and state laws, and regulations specific to the real estate and right-of-way industryProficiency with standard technology tools such as Microsoft Office and ProjectStrong communication skills, basic understanding of negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to work flexible hours and effectively with people of all typesWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
