Quality Tech III

Position Title: Quality Technician III Wage: Based on Experience Shift: 1st Hours: 5:45am - 2:15pm We're seeking a senior Quality Assurance professional in Richfield, WI with strong PC-DMIS programming experience, advanced CMM knowledge, and expertise in precision machining quality systems. Quality Technician Responsibilities: Performs advanced dimensional inspections of machined components using precision measuring equipment (CMM, optical comparators, height gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.) Interprets complex engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirements Conducts First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 or customer-specific requirements Develops, reviews, and maintains inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation Supports PPAP submissions and customer qualification processes Leads root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for nonconforming product Assists in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment Mentors and trains junior QA technicians and production personnel on quality processes and standards Participates in internal and external audits (ISO 9001, AS9100, customer audits) Collaborates with engineering and production teams to drive process improvements and prevent recurrence of quality issues Ensures compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements Requirements for Quality Technician: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred 5+ years of quality assurance experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment; 7+ years of quality assurance experience in a precision machining environment preferred Hands-on experience programming and operating PC-DMIS for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and metrology Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems Knowledge of SPC, PPAP, corrective actions, and root cause analysis Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems Experience with Zeiss Calypso or other advanced CMM software is a plus IND345 Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has the resources of a large company but the feel and personalized customer service of a small one.
