Utility Operator

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to work on an active jobsite in the Muskogee area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground utilities and be proficient operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget.ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy equipment -- including excavators, loaders, and bulldozers -- to move materials and complete utility tasksAssist crews with setting grade, trench safety, and utility layoutEnsure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of qualityMaintain equipment and perform basic repairs as neededCommunicate regularly with other crew members, foremen, and subcontractorsFollow all company and jobsite safety procedures at all timesIdentify and resolve issues that arise during construction projectsOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in constructionPrevious utility construction experience (water, sanitary, sewer, storm) requiredUnderstanding of trench safety, digging around utilities, and safe operating practicesStrong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiencesAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsReliable transportation to the Muskogee jobsiteEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
