As an X-Ray Tech with our organization, you will have the chance to make a real impact on patients lives while enjoying some fantastic fun perks along the way.*Job Description Summary:*As a portable X-Ray Tech, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures with a high level of technical competency. Your role will require a solid understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology, allowing you to apply ionizing radiation for accurate radiologic diagnoses. You will demonstrate initiative and ingenuity while working with minimal supervision.*Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:*Provide accurate images to allow physicians to diagnose patient illness by skillfully operating x-ray equipmentClearly communicate with patient about expectations prior to taking x-raySecure copy of physicians order and patient fact sheet from nursing staffEnsure operation of x-ray equipment by completing required preventative maintenance, following manufacturers instructionsAssure that the patient receiving an x-ray is correct and matches the information provided by dispatchReport any needs for supplies and equipment as it may be recognizedComply with all state and federal regulations governing the education requirements in order to maintain your licenseUtilize proper radiation protection techniques in assuring the safety of yourself, patient, and staff while performing x-ray or EKGClean and maintain vehicle and equipment to keep them in good working orderMust maintain a strict level of confidentiality.*Requirements and Qualifications:*Ability to read and understand medical terminology and physician ordersCertification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Valid and unencumbered Radiologic Technician license in Oregon and Washington (Ability to obtain Washington license)Valid Drivers License with good driving record.CPR Card*Preferred Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:** Operational experience of SR115 and SR130 x-ray machines with DR unit* Demonstrable proficiency in healthcare industry terminology and system.*What Sets Us Apart:*At our organization, we truly value our employees well-being and work-life balance.
