Product Development Manager

Job Title: Product Development ManagerThe Product Development Manager will lead the development process from concept through commercialization, ensuring all products align with the brand vision, quality standards, and seasonal goals of the business. This role will work closely alongside the Founder and Design team to bring ideas to life while managing timelines, sample execution, vendor communication, and overall development organization.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, is highly detail-oriented, and can balance creative collaboration with strong operational execution. The Product Development Manager will also oversee and mentor the Product Development Assistant to support the day-to-day needs of the department.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the product development calendar from initial concept through final development approval.Partner closely with the Founder and Design team to execute seasonal product vision and brand direction.Oversee sample development, material approvals, trims, packaging, and product execution across all categories.Communicate daily with vendors and factories regarding development timelines, sample status, revisions, and approvals.Track development milestones to ensure deadlines are met and product launches stay on schedule.Review and manage lab dips, strike-offs, fabrics, trims, and development samples to ensure alignment with brand standards.Troubleshoot development challenges proactively and provide solutions that maintain both design integrity and timeline goals.Maintain accurate product development documentation, BOMs, and organizational systems.Manage sample organization, tracking, and seasonal archives.Support seasonal product reviews, fittings, and development meetings with the Founder and Design team.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, or related field preferred.5+ years of experience in product development within apparel or consumer goods.Strong understanding of garment construction, materials, fit, and product development processes.Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and relationship management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PLM systems, and project management tools.Comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative, small-team environment.Salary $120,000
