In partnership with Corporate Safety, this role is responsible for leading all on-site safety efforts while ensuring alignment with corporate standards and project-specific requirements.What You'll DoSafety Leadership & StrategyPartner with Corporate Safety to ensure alignment with company-wide safety initiatives while meeting site-specific goalsLead all on-site safety efforts, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, client requirements, and internal policiesPromote a culture of continuous safety improvement across all project teamsProvide regular safety updates to project leadership, including risks and improvement actionsParticipate in monthly Safety Sync meetings with project and corporate leadershipCompliance & Risk ManagementDevelop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans and procedures across all project phasesConduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; implement corrective actions as neededIdentify hazards related to electrical installations and commissioning; develop mitigation strategiesManage the Site Safety Compliance Matrix (SSCM) to ensure full regulatory and contractual complianceEnsure compliance with all federal, state, client, and company safety requirementsTraining & CommunicationDevelop and deliver safety training programs for employees and subcontractorsEnsure all personnel are trained on safety protocols, including PPE, lockout/tagout, fall protection, and equipment safetyMaintain accurate documentation of training, certifications, and compliance activitiesCommunicate safety expectations clearly across internal teams and subcontractorsLead incident and near-miss investigations, determine root causes, and implement preventative measuresEnsure timely and accurate reporting of all safety-related incidentsPrepare reports and communicate findings and recommendations to leadershipField Execution & OversightManage the Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) program to ensure full participation and complianceCoordinate with subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety standards and provide oversight of their activitiesOversee safety during commissioning, including electrical safety and equipment startupEnsure toolbox talks and JHAs are conducted and documented regularlyDevelop and implement emergency response plans for site-specific risks, including electrical incidents and fireEnsure teams are prepared to respond effectively to emergenciesWhat We're Looking ForEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in electrical, construction, or commissioning environmentsStrong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, and relevant safety standardsRequired Skills & AbilitiesAbility to influence teams, drive cultural change, and build consensus around safety practicesStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify improvements and implement solutionsStrategic, big-picture thinking with an understanding of health, safety, environmental, and business impactsExcellent communication and presentation skills across diverse and global audiencesAbility to coach, mentor, and promote safety best practices across teamsKnowledge of country-specific, regulatory, and client safety requirementsDemonstrated professionalism, collaboration, and cultural awareness in global environmentsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeCertificationsAdvanced Safety Certification (STSC, CHST, GSP, ASP, or CSP) – RequiredOSHA 30 (minimum); OSHA 500 preferredNFPA 70E certificationFirst Aid/CPR/AED (or ability to obtain within first year)Travel & Work RequirementsUp to 25% overnight travel may be requiredValid driver's license requiredMust be fit for duty at all timesAuthorization to work in the country of employment requiredWhat You'll GetCompetitive compensation with annual bonus opportunity401(k) with company matchComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with low-cost optionsPaid time off and sick leaveTuition reimbursement and professional credential supportIn-house and external technical training opportunitiesExposure to complex, high-impact automation projectsA collaborative culture built on integrity, accountability, and teamworkWork Environment & Physical RequirementsThe physical and environmental demands described here are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this role.
