Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
Position Summary:
Ships and receives all goods to and from vendors and customers. Responsible for organizing, sorting, and transferring goods from one department to another. Ensuring proper packing techniques and shipping practices are followed. Hours of Operation is 8:30am-5:30pm M-F, occasionally on-call.
Essential Duties:
Process FedEx, UPS, DHL small package and LTL shipments as well as possessing a complete understanding of international shipping requirements
Collaborates and communicates with multiple departments in the shipment and receipt of products
Process daily Sales Orders and Return Merchandise Authorizations
Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
Creation of international shipping documentation as required, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and any necessary certificates
Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables
Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
Maintain a clean work area
Support Quality initiatives as it pertains to the organization and the role
Pack, repack, and sort goods as needed
Monitor packing supplies
Education/Experience:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent or 1 plus years of experience without a degree
Shipping and Receiving experience
Ability to speak, read and write English
Strong computer knowledge
Preferred:
FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping experience preferred
Forklift Operation Certification preferred or ability to obtain forklift license
Competencies:
Knowledge and skill for the safe handling, storage, and movement of product
Skilled at shipping, receiving, sorting, stocking, stacking, packaging, and loading products
Ability to operate mechanized equipment including utility vehicles, standard size forklifts (up to 6000 lbs. capacity), high rise automated storage equipment, etc. in narrow, and constricted warehouse aisles
High attention to details
Able to work independently and within a team
Valid Driver's License and a dependable mode of transportation
Good organizational and time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
