Software Developer – Embedded C Location: Rockford, Illinois (Onsite)Experience: 5–10 YearsEmployment Type: ContractIMPORTANT: Only US Citizens and Green Card Holders can be considered due to ITAR requirements.Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer with strong C programming skills and hands-on experience in embedded systems development. The ideal candidate should have experience working in aerospace, railway, automotive, or medical device domains with exposure to safety-critical software development environments.Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and test embedded software applications in C• Perform requirement analysis, software design, coding, debugging, and integration• Work within DO-178B/C software development lifecycle processes• Participate in software reviews, verification, and validation activities• Use IBM DOORS for requirements management and traceability• Support configuration management and change request processes• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teamsRequired Skills:• Strong hands-on experience in Embedded C programming• 3+ years of experience in Aerospace / Railway / Automotive / Medical domain• Experience with embedded software development standards such as DO-178B/C• Experience in Requirement Analysis, Design & Development• Hands-on experience with IBM DOORS (minimum 1 year)• Experience with Configuration Management tools such as SVN• Knowledge of Change Management / Change Request process• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)Preferred Skills:• Knowledge of MATLAB and related tools• Exposure to Siemens Polarion• Experience in Aircraft Electrical Systems• Experience with avionics or aerospace embedded systems📩 Interested?Apply now or share your profile via LinkedIn message.📧 You may also send your resume to vighneshwar.gouda@prolim.com
