DescriptionThe Data Solutions Expert (DSE) plays a critical role in delivering analytics and data solutions that enable business decision-making while advancing the IS Data GO 28 strategy. The role has evolved beyond traditional reporting and data warehousing to emphasize data governance, Snowflake-centric architecture, and the active diffusion of Data culture across the business.The DSE partners closely with business stakeholders, domain teams, and IS Data platform teams to design, build, govern, and operationalize trusted data products. The DSE acts as a technical data translator and data ambassador, ensuring solutions align with governance standards, scalability, and long-term sustainability while enabling business autonomy and self-service analytics.Specific DutiesLead the design, build, deployment, and run support of data solutions aligned with the IS Delivery Model and IS Charter.Design and implement Snowflake-based data solutions, including ingestion, transformation, modeling, and consumption layers (Bronze/Silver/Gold).Translate business needs into scalable, governed data models and analytics-ready datasets.Ensure solutions are performant, costoptimized, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.Drive heavy adoption of Snowflake as the core enterprise data platform.Collaborate with Data Engineering, Integration, and Platform teams to ensure seamless ingestion from enterprise systems.Embed governance-by-design in all delivered solutions.Promote data quality, lineage, metadata, security, and access management standards.Serve as a Data ambassador, promoting data literacy and trusted self-service analytics.Coach business users on how to effectively consume governed data products.Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding scope, priorities, risks, governance, and timelines.Participate in cross-domain initiatives and multi-team projects.Prioritize and complete data requests with an emphasis on quality and accuracy.QualificationsBachelor degree required; Degree in Computer Science, IS, or IT preferred OR HS Diploma/GED and four additional years of in Business Intelligence, Business Analyst, or Data Analysis experience may be accepted5+ years of professional in Data Engineering, Data Administration, Business Intelligence or Data Analysis3+ years of experience with data visualization tools3 + years of SQLKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience with Snowflake, R or Python.Consistently upholds and reflects core ethical principlesWorks cross-functionally to achieve shared objectivesHandles difficult situations in a timely and bold mannerMakes timely decisions in high-pressure environmentsTroubleshoots and resolves issues efficientlyDemonstrates strong functional, technical, and digital literacy skillsTravel Requirement: Domestic travel: 5%, International travel: 5%The salary range for this role is between $96,500 to $156,100. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
