Certification Quality Supervisor - Afternoon Shift

The Stellantis Quality Organization is currently seeking a Certification Line Unit Leader at the Detroit Assembly Complex - Jefferson Plant. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape. The Certification Line Unit Leader will manage the certification line quality verification stations and is the focal point of contact for all certification line quality issues, ensuring shift to shift consistency, and utilizing the data to drive issues to closure utilizing the Stellantis Production Way methodologies. The Certification Line Unit Leader must be a creative problem solver, proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution of vehicle quality issues. The selected individual will have experience in managing cross-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape and present outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supervise certification line quality verification personnelTrack and report quality concerns identified, assist in root cause, containment and corrective actions for all quality related issues in the manufacturing facilityTrain newly and re-assigned personnelManage time sheet and payroll of all bargaining unit employeesHands-on training and coaching of salary and bargaining unit employees on the World Class Manufacturing methodologiesPlan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environmentStrong communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadershipEstablish partnerships both internally and externally and to influence without direct authorityCommitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumerRepresent the "Voice of the Customer"Contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectation and minimizing political hurdlesDemonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievementsExhibit a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver resultsStrong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environmentBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or an associate degree with relevant supervisory experience1+ year of related Quality experience in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated planning/problem solving skillsAbility to work any shift and OT as requiredExperience and working knowledge of computer systems and software with strong knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to analyze, synthesize and translate data into visual charts/graphs etc.Ability to work overtime as needed including weekendsAbility to be flexible to carry out tasks 'outside' of normal roles and responsibilitiesAbility to work afternoon shift: 4:00pm - 2:00amPreferred Qualifications:Manufacturing / Assembly Plant experience2+ years of quality related experienceLead Auditor Certifications and Practical experienceSupervisory experience of hourly personnel - union experienceBasic Knowledge of StatisticsPrevious Leadership experienceEngineering degree or equivalent
