Manager of Finance and Operations

We have an exciting opportunity to lead a financial advisory office as the Manager of Finance and Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire accounting & financial operations of the firm in addition to operations and HR. If you are a professional who has an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys helping others, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.This is an onsite role in Greenville, SC.Essential Duties & FunctionsPerform for all accounting needs for multiple entities including financial statements and reporting, forecasting, daily cash management and payrollCreate detailed Excel reporting to support monthly financial results and specific performance metricsDemonstrate continuous process improvement within all areas of accounting while ensuring that required internal control systems are set/remain in placeManage expenses, bill pay and budgeting for the firmPerform monthly and quarterly client billingAnalyze and reconcile client billing and incoming commissionsMonitor, maintain and communicate with firm’s IT providerManage software contracts and communication with software vendorsResponsible for facilities managementManage vendors including building and lawn maintenance, copier/scanner, alarm systems, etc.Perform the renewal of all active business licenses for both the facility and its occupantsMonitor individual and agency licensing requirements including renewal processesResponsible for keeping firm manuals up to dateManage and maintain personal time off (PTO) records for employeesResponsible for all confidential employee files as well as the firm’s onboarding and termination documentsPoint person to address employee concerns or address improvement areas confidentiallyPoint person for recruiting when hiring to include preparing job descriptions, screening, scheduling interviews and participation in the selection of the new hireQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business; or relevant experienceMinimum 8-10 years of accounting/finance experience in a professional services settingExperience conducting month-end and year-end close processes, cost allocation, revenue recognition, budget creation and management, and cash and expense management.Experience in QuickBooks or similar small business accounting software; ability to learn quickly and pivot when necessaryDesire to wear many hats and be a team-playerFor confidential consideration, please email careers@forgesc.com or apply directly!
