Opportunity: RN - PCUJob Details: • Work in Progressive Care Unit with 1:5 patient ratios • 2 years of nursing experience required, previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred • 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday) • Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Float to all MSI units including ED for inpatient holds • 12 hours of orientation provided • Care for adult and geriatric patients with 31-bed unit capacity • Manage cardiac monitoring, telemetry, post-cardiac procedures, IV therapy, respiratory care including chest tubes and tracheostomy management • Administer blood products, manage central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral IVs • Handle heparin protocols, cardiac drips, PCA pumps, and procedural sedation • Provide wound care, manage feeding tubes, and assist with total joint replacements • Work with Epic charting system • Maximum 7 days request time off allowed • Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract • Must have Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact state licenseFacility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical facility featuring a 31-bed Progressive Care Unit that provides intermediate-level care for patients requiring close monitoring.
