Location: 100% Remote (must work EST hours)Duration: 90 daysSponsorship: Not availableOverviewWe are seeking a Principal Consultant to support a high risk regulatory reporting production function within a large financial institution’s Accounting/Finance organization. This role will be responsible for managing the preparation and submission of Federal Reserve regulatory filings, with an immediate focus on strengthening risk, controls, and governance across the reporting process.This is a hands on, execution oriented engagement intended to stabilize and elevate a critical reporting process over a 90 day period, working closely with Finance leadership and production teams.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage a high risk regulatory reporting production process, including the preparation and submission of filings to the Federal Reserve BankLead the assessment, design, and enhancement of controls, including:Review and validation checksDocumentation of control executionIdentification of gaps and remediation planningIdentify reporting anomalies and data inconsistencies; drive root cause analysis and corrective actionsGuide and instruct team members to ensure adherence to regulatory expectations and control standardsPartner with Finance stakeholders to improve process discipline as the organization transitions from manual inputs to more automated, straight through processingMust Have RequirementsExperience reporting into the Accounting or Finance organization within a bank or large financial institutionDeep, hands on knowledge of FR Y 14Q and FR Y 14M regulatory reporting processesStrong risk and controls expertise, including:Control design and documentationRemediation planning and executionTechnical data background with the ability to:Read and understand SQLAssess data lineage, sourcing, and flowsInterrogate data for accuracy and completenessProven ability to guide, mentor, and direct team members, particularly in regulated environmentsNice to Have QualificationsExperience with AxiomExperience with WorkivaHeitmeyer Consulting is an equal opportunity employer, and we encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
