Golang Developer (Forward Deployment Engineer)// Remote

Job Title: Forward Deployment Engineer- GolangLocation: RemoteJob Type :ContractExp :10+ Years of Exp1. Role Overview & PhilosophyWe are seeking a highly autonomous, hands-on Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) Lead to head the Extension Pod for the Integra Partners PoC engagement. In this hybrid role—combining senior software engineering, solutions architecture, and direct technical consulting—you will take 100% full-stack technical ownership of building and hardening the Claim Validation Engine on top of the Target state platform.Unlike traditional, layered delivery models (with separate PMs, architects, and QA engineers), an FDE operates as a self-sufficient, forward-deployed engineering unit. You will be responsible for reverse-engineering legacy systems/rules, forward-engineering robust modern microservices, embedding AI-assisted code/spec generation into workflows, and committing production-grade code directly into target repositories to drive immediate business value. The Forward Deployment Engineering (FDE) Mindset:FDEs bridges the gap between high-level specs and production deployment. You own the system end-to-end: from understanding claims processing logic to writing Go microservices, configuring AI transpilers (AI Skills, Agents, Hooks etc,), building operations UI, writing and running unit, integration and end-to-end tests, hardening CI/CD pipelines, and deploying directly to cloud infrastructure.2. Key Responsibilities & Core DeliverablesA. Full Engineering Ownership & Core Development (Target state platform & Validation API)Target state platform Rule Engine Extension: Lead the end-to-end architecture and implementation of the Target state platform rule engine extension for claim validation rule types and complex evaluation paths. This involved understanding the currently implemented, Golang based, target state platform and rule execution engine (with the expectation to enhance it as needed).Validation API Development: Design, build, and deploy the production-grade Validation REST API (POST /validate → returning triggered rules, claim disposition, and immutable audit_ref).Real-Time Parallel Execution: Drive real-time parallel evaluation of all configured rules per claim payload, ensuring strict SLAs for latency and throughput.Rule Configuration & Go Plugins: Import, configure, and maintain 75 claim validation rule configs (~80% declarative rules, ~20% high-performance typed Go plugins for duplicate checks and Coordination of Benefits / COB patterns).B. Reverse & Forward Engineering + AI IntegrationLegacy Reverse Engineering: Analyze existing client legacy logic, specs, and claims workflows; systematically extract rules and specs to re-architect them in modern microservice architecture.AI-Driven Acceleration: Utilize and evaluate modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, spec-to-config transpilers - AI Skills, Agents, Hooks etc, LLM prompt engineering) to accelerate code conversion and spec verification.AI-Embedded Rule Admin UI: Build an AI-embedded operations-facing UI enabling business non-engineers to create, test, and validation rules dynamically without code deployments.C. System Hardening, Integration & CI/CD Quality GatesAncillary Ecosystem Integration: Integrate with ancillary services including Pricing Engine, Provider Status, and Prior Authorization presence checks (call-only contract integration).CI/CD & Governance Gates: Build and own automated end-to-end CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps). Establish PR review gates and evaluation CI blocking mechanisms to prevent model, prompt, or code regressions.Automated Test Engineering: Lead test-driven (TDD/BDD) creation of unit, integration, and Playwright/Selenium E2E test suites generated directly from locked requirements.D. Customer & Stakeholder Technical DeploymentDirect Client Embedding: Work embedded with technical and product leadership, participating in rapid daily syncs, technical triage, and live debugging on target environments.Production Ownership: Unblock technical hurdles rapidly, isolate system bottlenecks, and bridge communication between onshore client teams and offshore execution units.3. Required Skills & ExperienceA. Primary Technical CompetenciesCore Engineering Experience: 10–12+ years of active software engineering experience with 2+ years leading engineering pods or technical delivery teams.Go (Golang) Mastery: Strong production expertise in Go (Golang)—microservices architecture, high-concurrency patterns, RESTful APIs, and rule engine design.Polyglot Capabilities: Hands-on experience with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript (React or Angular for Admin UI development), and shell scripting.Database & Persistence: Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL (CRUD, schema design, index optimization, data integrity, migrations) and relational data modeling.Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (AKS, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps) and containerized workflows (Docker, Kubernetes).Event-Driven Systems: Familiarity with event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and OpenAPI-driven code/client generation.B. Forward Deployment & AI MindsetReverse & Forward Engineering: Proven ability to analyze code bases, reverse-engineer business rules, and forward-engineer clean microservices based on functional specs.AI & Modern Tooling: Hands-on experience using AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, LLM APIs, spec transpilers) to increase development velocity.Self-Sufficient Delivery: Comfortable taking end-to-end ownership—writing code, building tests, setting up CI/CD, and managing releases without relying on separate QA or PM teams.C. Interpersonal & Consulting SkillsClient Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs directly to client leadership.Adaptability & Ambiguity: Thrives in fast-paced, startup environments with evolving requirements and tight delivery runways.4. Key Performance IndicatorsCore Engine Delivery: Successfully deliver POST /validate API and Target state platform rule engine extension within initial 4 weeks of engagement.Rule Migration Coverage: 100% migration and verification of all rule configs (including 20% Go custom plugins) passing automated validation.Pipeline & Test Quality: Zero regressions in CI/CD pipeline with 85%+ automated test coverage across unit, integration, and E2E suites.Stakeholder Satisfaction: Rapid resolution of technical blockers during daily customer readiness syncs, maintaining high confidence from client stakeholders.
