About the Role CMTS is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant II to support financial operations on large-scale bond-funded construction programs. This role is responsible for managing invoice processing, financial tracking, and ensuring compliance with program requirements. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, experience working with project-based financial systems, and the ability to collaborate across teams. Education Requirements High School Diploma required Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis Required Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of accounting or project accounting experience Experience working with enterprise accounting or financial systems Ability to work both independently and within a team environment Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Effective communication and problem-solving skills Key Responsibilities Collaborate with bond program teams on cost tracking, invoice processing, and expenditure management Review and process invoices and encumbrances in accordance with accounting procedures Ensure accuracy of entries within PMIS systems (Proliance) and supporting documentation Resolve discrepancies in invoices, documentation, and financial records Support integration and reconciliation efforts between Proliance and Costpoint Monitor and ensure bond compliance for all payment requests Reconcile financial accounts and escrow statements Prepare and process journal entries Assist in financial analysis and reporting of ongoing program activity Develop reports and improve processes to enhance financial transparency and accuracy Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues Support Finance and Accounting leadership with ad hoc tasks and process improvements Compensation Salary: $74,000 - $78,000 annually Benefits CMTS offers : Medical Dental Vision 401(k) Life Insurance Long-Term Disability Equal Opportunity Employer CMTS, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, sex, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law.
