Job Description Carter & sons transport LLC is seeking a driver/helper to support safe, reliable transportation operations in and around Robert, LA.Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.Position SummaryThe driver/helper will assist with transporting goods and materials while maintaining safe driving practices and providing hands-on support during loading, unloading, and basic in-transit tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently on the road while remaining dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented.This is a full-time hybrid position based in Robert, LA, with responsibilities that may include both driving-related duties and on-site assistance as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a company vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws, company policies, and route requirementsAssist with loading, unloading, and securing cargo to prevent damage during transitPerform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report any issues promptlySupport day-to-day transportation needs, including organizing deliveries and helping maintain schedulesMaintain a clean and professional presence, ensuring accurate handling of deliveries and communicationsRequired QualificationsValid driver’s license with a safe driving recordAbility to assist with job-related physical tasks such as lifting, loading, and unloading as requiredWillingness to work full-time with reliable attendance and punctualityBasic understanding of safe driving practices and vehicle safety procedures xaygatp Ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and work effectively as part of a transportation teamPreferred QualificationsPrior experience driving and/or assisting with deliveries, transportation, or logisticsFamiliarity with cargo handling and safety practicesExperience working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and changing schedulesComfort communicating with dispatch, customers, or team members to support on-time delivery
