Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Lead Product Sales Engineer. This is a hybrid work opportunity for candidates residing within 50 miles of Eaton’s Southfield, MI campus.The Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting key customer accounts and the overall day-to-day business relationship between Power Connections and key customers.You will report to the commercial leader and will be responsible for supporting and promoting Power Connections products and solutions within the assigned territory. You will work together with entire Power Connections Sales & Engineering teams to drive maximum penetration of Power Connections products across OEM’s & Tiers.The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000 - $154000 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.What You’ll DoLearn Power Connections products, capabilities and value add optionsWork as a member of the OEM DRE team to support product and platform launch executionDevelop and maintain relationships at multiple levels in the customer base to for Eaton to be strategicServe as the initial Power Connections face to customer, potentially located onsite at OEM office.Assist Program / Platform teams in defining requirements, design evaluations, and validationManage Sample Orders, Tracking, and DeliveryManage all projects in OEM engineering project, release, and management systems, acting as the Eaton lead, coordinating all required next steps with the appropriate Eaton cross functional team member(s).Monitor customer project timing and milestones, ensuring Eaton project timing meets the needs of the customer. Identify and escalate gaps to leadership and cross functional team as required.Release Drawings, Part Numbers, write Work Orders, manage 5-Phases, Open IssuesEffectively communicate with all other automotive team members to promote the business needs of the territory to foster growthQualificationsRequired Basic Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institutionMinimum five (5) years of engineering experienceMinimum three (3) years of experience within the automotive industryEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
