These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments of manufacturing operations to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.Investigate all EHS incidents, near misses, and injuries, determining root causes and recommending effective corrective and preventative actions.Deliver comprehensive EHS training to employees on topics such as hazard communication, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and emergency preparedness.Manage hazardous waste streams, ensuring proper handling, storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with environmental permits and regulations.Develop and implement industrial hygiene monitoring strategies to assess worker exposure to chemical, physical, and biological hazards.Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and reporting required by regulatory agencies and internal company policies.Recommended QualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.2-4 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state EHS regulations.Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, develop safety programs, and deliver EHS training.Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.Bonus QualificationsProfessional EHS certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM).Experience with EHS management software systems (e.g., Intelex, Cority, SAP EHS).Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles applied to EHS processes.Experience conducting internal audits for ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 standards.Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support diverse workforce communication.Job Titles That Should ApplyEnvironmental Health and Safety Specialist, EHS Specialist, HSE Specialist, Safety Specialist, Health and Safety Specialist, Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, EHS Coordinator, Safety Officer, Environmental Compliance SpecialistWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
