Mechanical Design Engineer Consultant

Our client,a leading medical device company specializing in cardiac surgical instruments and technologies , has engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This individual will take ownership of converting a concept into detailed CAD models, with the ultimate goal of producing a 3D-printable prototype. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring speed, precision, and deep technical expertise. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end product design and development of a handheld medical device concept Translate early-stage ideas into detailed CAD drawings and models Optimize designs for functionality, manufacturability, and 3D printing Rapidly iterate designs based on feedback and technical constraints Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on product requirements and usability Deliver a final CAD package ready for prototyping/3D printing Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) 10+ years of experience in mechanical/product design Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) Experience taking products from concept through prototype Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and design for manufacturability (DFM) Terms & Start 1-Month Contract Onsite in Denver, CO Ideally onsite fully, with flexibility for a hybrid work setting J-18808-Ljbffr
