Local CDL A Class Driver Intermodal

*Overview* Must have intermodal*/Container *experience*. *Home daily*. Hazmat certification is a plus.* We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within designated routes. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles. As a Local Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction. *Duties* * Operate various types of vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, roll-off trucks, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. * Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. * Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. * Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. * Utilize manual transmission when required for specific vehicle operations. *Skills* * Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. * Proficient in operating tractor-trailer units, flatbeds, roll-off trucks, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. * Familiarity with route driving techniques and local traffic patterns. * Strong understanding of manual transmission operation. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently. * Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records. * Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
