Mechanical Service and Commissioning Engineer

To support our ongoing growth we are looking for a mechanical service & commissioning engineer with a good understanding of mechanical and automation systems. Positions summary: Provides commissioning, start-up, training, maintenance, evaluation, calibration, qualification and repair services for Niehoff Endex. This is for non-ferrous wire and cable drawing machinery at customer worksites located throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Provide field feedback for improving, modification, and design of mechanics in cooperation with our engineering department. Also provides support for the in-house assembly and repair department when not traveling to customer sites. High level of travel required. Experience: Supervise and support machine installation at customer sites Diagnose construction or machinery problems Repair or replace worn or malfunctioning components and consumables Excellent mechanical, basic electrical trouble shooting skills Ability to interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings Metallurgy and metal forming knowledge Knowledge of measurement devices for leveling, heat camera, vibration measurement, balancing etc. Minimum two-year degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience is preferred Computer Skills:  Proficient in MS Office programs, basic data entry skills Certificates & Licenses:  Valid driver’s license  Valid passport Niehoff Endex North America Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
