Position Overview System Engineer – KBR’s National Security Solutions team. In this role you will design, analyze, and support system requirements for defense projects focused on national security and space defense. Responsibilities Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high‑level system architectures to develop system requirement specifications. Analyze system requirements and provide support to design and development activities. Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. Provide technical guidance and support for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Provide technical support to application and tool development teams. Coordinate with software architects and other technical delivery team members to overcome technical obstacles. Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Communicate with other program personnel and government staff. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. Three (3) or more years’ experience with system requirements, system development and implementation, system testing, etc. Experience supporting the federal government or DoD. Active TS/SCI required. Desired Qualifications Ability to derive an understanding of stakeholder needs and functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness from system requirements. Experience supporting system requirements and system integration at the enterprise level. Experience following a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces. Experience with Agile project management principles and processes. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $103,600 - $155,400 (Maryland only). Additional compensation may include bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, such as sign‑on bonus, relocation benefits, short‑term incentives, long‑term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
