Production Team Lead

JOB DESCRIPTIONAn Insight Global client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee and support a team of production operators on either the day or night shift. This individual will work closely with the Shift Supervisor or Foreman to execute daily production schedules, assign labor, monitor output, and ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, coaching teams, and keeping production running smoothly. Responsibilities • Lead and support a team of production operators during the assigned shift • Coordinate with the Day Shift Supervisor or Night Shift Foreman to meet production goals • Assign and reassign operators throughout the shift based on production needs • Monitor team productivity and verify product quality and specifications • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety standards • Prepare and maintain basic production reports • Participate in monthly safety meetings • Monitor inventory levels and request supplies as needed • Identify and report non-routine maintenance issues • Operate a forklift if licensed • Train, coach, and support team members in accordance with company policiesHOURS AND SCHEDULEThis is a 12-hour shift (5a - 5p)6 days a weekA typical week will be around 32~ hours of OT payREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• 5–10 years of production or manufacturing experience • Previous experience in a team lead, line lead, or supervisory role • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English or Spanish • Prior experience working in a production or manufacturing environment • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate operators • Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on production setting • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs • Willingness to stand, walk, and be on the production floor for extended periodsNICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• Forklift certification or prior forklift experience • Experience tracking production metrics or completing production reports Work Environment • Manufacturing / production floor environment • Moderately loud noise levels • Mix of standing, walking, and light administrative reporting tasks
