Surgery - Neurosurgery Physician Assistant

Growing neurosurgery practice in the Rockford, Illinois area is looking for a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join their team! This advanced practice provider will work as part of an established and highly regarded neurosurgery group, and duties will include inpatient rounding, management of Neuro ICU patients, performing ED consults, seeing patients in the outpatient clinic setting, and first assisting in the OR.Ideal candidates will have prior experience in neurosurgery as a PA or NP, however the group is also very willing to train candidates with other surgical or inpatient experience, such as critical care, hospital medicine, orthopedic surgery, trauma surgery, etc. as well as highly motivated new graduates who are passionate about the neurosurgery field.Please apply to be considered, and contact with any questions.Responsibilities:Full-time permanent position - NeurosurgeryMonday-Friday scheduleMainly inpatient role with combination of rounding, inpatient management, consultsAdditional duties include outpatient clinic and opportunity to be trained to first assist in the OR in the futureLight on-call schedule (one weekend per month) shared among all providersQualifications:Previous experience in neurosurgery or another relevant surgical specialtyPrevious experience in hospital medicine, critical care, or internal medicineRelevant clinical rotations in neurosurgery or inpatient medicineAbility to obtain Illinois Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner LicenseBenefits:Highly competitive base salary401k plus matchingPTO and paid holidaysAdditional time for CME, with CME allowanceSick leaveHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife insuranceLoan repayment
