Senior Accountant

Title: Senior Accountant Location: Kendall, FL Contract: Perm Schedule: M - F 9am - 5:30pm (1 hour for lunch) Salary: $75K - $85K DESCRIPTION: Based in our headquarters in Miami, Florida (US) and reporting to the Director of Finance, you are going to be a key part of the finance team having a wide set of responsibilities and be in touch with the most important areas of finance. Accounting and AP will be part of the day-to-day activities but will also support Controlling activities. Involved in the closing monthly process as well as the budgeting and forecast process. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. ACCOUNTING Understanding and being part of the accounting activities of the business finance and accounting system within the framework of the Group accounting guidelines (US GAAP and IFRS for reporting). Advising and supporting the Finance Director and the rest of the finance colleagues in financial day-to-day operations, to make sure requirements are met with both: timing and quality. Part of the AP team issuing payments and processing OPEX invoices and accounting team including booking of journal entries and cash flow reconciliation. Involved in monthly closing for both accounting and reporting. Analysis of PL and BS. Link between Miami team and Group Controlling Team in Switzerland, preparing and analyzing data trends across the consolidated and individual entities and businesses channels. Ensure compliance with applicable internal and external accounting standards and financial policies and assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes. Proactively identify opportunities to improve and automate existing processes, strengthen internal controls and optimize data management. 2. CONTROLLING Analyze monthly financial statements to identify variances between planned and actual, understand the cause, suggest measures, and adjust forecasts and long-range plans accordingly. Deliver financial and operational dashboards and reporting packages including key business performance metrics, results and variance analysis for revenue, margin, and other FP&A responsibilities in a timely and consistent manner. Support the preparation and interpret management reporting packages with the goal of understanding financial performance and playing the role of connecting the dots. Support the preparation both ad-hoc and regular financial presentations for senior finance and business decision makers, for purposes of scenario analysis, business case analysis, customer relationships, financial forecasting, financing, and regulatory/audit engagements. Support the preparation of annual operating budget and Rolling forecast process discussing with SLT members, reviewing PLs by channel and understanding and presenting full PL. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance or Accounting. A minimum of 4 years in a Finance/Accounting or Compliance/Audit department Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills. A keen eye for the details and eager to drive optimization/automatization. Strong organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and deliverables. Ability to work effectively to influence cross-functional teams across the business.
