Design Engineer

Position: Design EngineerLocation: Santa Ana, CAPay: $95,000 – $115,000/yearExperience: 2 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or defense.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.Type: Full-time; Direct HireSchedule: Monday – Friday, Flexible scheduleHB Staffing is seeking a Design Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team!Job DescriptionDesign and develop components for parachute recovery systems used in aerospace applications.Perform structural load and margin analysis using hand calculations and engineering methods.Create and maintain CAD models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.Support conceptual design, prototyping, and product validation testing.Conduct material and system-level testing and analyze performance data.Ensure designs meet technical specifications, functional requirements, and customer standards.Collaborate with project engineers, manufacturing, quality teams, and suppliers.Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.Position RequirementsProficiency with CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.Strong understanding of aerospace or mechanical design principles.Knowledge of structural analysis techniques and engineering calculations.Experience with programming tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar.Solid understanding of systems engineering concepts.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills.HB Staffing is part of Array Corporation, the leading technology-enabled workforce solutions company whose mission is to fix how work is bought, sold and delivered to enable access to the American Dream.We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
