Job Summary: This role will report to the Executive Director of Enterprise Data Solutions and is responsible for building trusted relationships throughout the business while leading the design and development of organizational dashboards, reports, and the underlying analytical data models that support them. As RE/MAX continues to mature its data culture, this leader will consistently assess strategy, approach, and deliverables as the business and industry evolve. This leader will also be responsible for ensuring quality, driving operational efficiency, and setting priorities to ensure deliverables are driving the business forward through well-modeled, reusable, and scalable data assets.
Essential Duties:
Learn, understand, and be able to speak knowledgeably about the data warehouse, available data, organizational KPIs, business objectives, and the analytical data models that enable reporting and decision-making
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data professionals and business units, to understand data visualization and data modeling needs and objectives
Act as a data thought leader, internal consultant, point of contact, and trusted advisor to business customers
Translate business requirements into effective and impactful dashboards, reports, and logical data models that support consistent metrics and scalable analytics
Design, review, and maintain analytical data models (e.g., semantic, star, or reporting-layer models) in partnership with Data Engineering and Data Architecture
Ensure metrics, dimensions, and business logic are clearly defined, documented, and consistently applied across reports and dashboards
Drive adoption of data visualization and reporting solutions through comprehensive training plans, thoughtful communication, development of supporting materials, and organization of internal reporting portal
Administer and govern enterprise business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, reporting portals, and related platforms), including user access, standards, and best practices, while guiding future tool evaluation and selection to ensure scalability, usability, and alignment with business needs.
Lead and manage the data visualization team, setting goals, providing guidance, and evaluating performance
Provide training and support to team members and other stakeholders on data visualization tools, data modeling best practices, and analytical design techniques
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and usability of data used in visualizations and models, in close collaboration with data engineering and data management teams
Continuously assess and improve existing data models and reporting structures to support performance, usability, and evolving business needs
Job Qualifications:
3+ years of experience leading business intelligence projects/products
4+ years of relevant work experience in data visualization and modeling
Bachelor’s degree required, degree in business, finance, economics, or other quantitative field preferred
Experience with Snowflake, SSRS, and Tableau strongly preferred
Proficiency in SQL required, including the ability to query, validate, and shape data for reporting and modeling use cases
Experience designing or contributing to analytical data models (e.g., reporting-layer, semantic, or dimensional models) preferred
Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms, data visualizations, and well-structured analytical data assets
Creative thinking and design skills, with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages Enterprise Business Intelligence team, including entry level, senior, and lead business intelligence developers
Provides leadership and coaching to BI developers and analysts as they translate business requirements to create comprehensive dashboards, reports, and supporting data models for the business and senior leadership
Build a team that partners with Data Engineering and Data Architecture to confirm business needs are well understood and communicated, while also ensuring data is surfaced in an accurate, consistent, sustainable, and transparent manner
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Travel Requirements: Up to 25%
Salary Range:
Base: $115k to $145k
Variable Pay: 15% bonus potential
Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
