Software Engineer II and Senior Software Engineer
Overview:
In this role you will design and build distributed services powering the CI/CD infrastructure used by millions of developers at Microsoft and external customers. You'll work across Azure-based platforms to scale compute and support diverse environments, from VMs to containers. The role emphasizes reliability, observability, and performance, with opportunities to influence engineering practices at scale. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture user requirements for features and scenarios
- Contribute to design and release planning and break down work into actionable items
- Create, optimize, debug, and refactor code to improve performance and ROILeverage product knowledge to drive project and release plans with partners
- Act as DRI, develop operational playbooks, participate in on-call rotations, and guide incident response
- Build and adopt new technologies and best practices to enhance availability, reliability, and observability

Key requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C/C++/C#/Java/JavaScript/Python OR equivalentcollaborationmentoring and guidance during incidentscommunication with stakeholdersdistributed services design and implementation Azure services or other cloud servicesproficiency in one or more programming languages (C/C++/C#/Java/JavaScript/Python)
