Safety Manager
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Safety Manager to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. We truly value our employees and it shows by our current average tenure of over 10 years!Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Program Management & Complianc eEvaluate and enhance safety programs to ensure effectiveness and complianceDevelop, implement, and update safety policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA and other regulatory standardsTraining & Employee DevelopmentConduct safety training on regulations, hazard recognition, and equipment useDeliver construction safety and injury prevention training programsMaintain and track employee training records and certificationsInspections & Workplace EvaluationsPerform field inspections of job sites, facilities, equipment, and work practicesEvaluate environmental conditions such as air quality, noise, ventilation, and lightingEnsure availability and compliance of safety equipment and emergency resourcesIncident Investigation & Data AnalysisInvestigate incidents, injuries, near-misses, and occupational illnessesIdentify root causes and implement corrective actionsAnalyze safety trends and data to improve performanceHazard Identification & Risk MitigationIdentify workplace hazards and unsafe practicesRecommend and implement control measures to reduce riskManage hazard communication programs and safety initiativesEmergency Preparedness & ResponseDevelop and maintain emergency response plansCoordinate with fire, police, and medical servicesEnsure readiness for emergency situations across the companyEnvironmental Health & Industrial HygieneSupport industrial hygiene programs (air monitoring, noise surveys, ventilation studies)Monitor workplace conditions impacting employee healthAssist with hazardous materials management and environmental complianceSystems & TechnologyManage and monitor Samsara for fleet and equipment trackingQualificationsExperience5+ years of construction safety management experienceStrong working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulationsExperience with hazardous waste, air quality permits, and environmental compliance is a plusEducationBachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, or related fieldCertifications (Preferred)CHST, CSP, GSP, or similar safety certificationTechnical SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with SAMSARA or similar systems preferredFamiliarity with mobile apps and digital tools; video creation/editing is a plusCommunicationStrong verbal and written communication skillsBilingual English/Spanish preferredAdditional RequirementsAbility to travel 2535% within the southwestern U.S.Valid drivers license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass background check and drug/alcohol screeningMust be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
