Residential Home Drafter
Position Summary
Pinno Construction is seeking a detail-oriented Residential Drafter to support our residential construction projects from concept through construction. This role is responsible for producing accurate construction drawings, coordinating revisions, and supporting the design-build process to ensure projects are code-compliant, buildable, and aligned with client and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare complete residential construction drawing sets (floor plans, elevations, sections, details)
Translate conceptual designs, sketches, and field measurements into accurate CAD drawings
Revise drawings based on internal reviews, client feedback, and field conditions
Coordinate with project managers, designers, and estimators to ensure drawing accuracy and constructability
Assist with zoning, code compliance, and permitting documentation
Maintain organized digital files and version control for all drawings
Support as-built drawings and updates throughout construction
Review plans for conflicts, omissions, and constructability issues
Required Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of residential drafting experience preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience a plus)
Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and terminology
Working knowledge of building codes, zoning requirements, and permitting processes
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Construction Technology, or related field
Experience with custom homes, remodels, or additions
Familiarity with structural, electrical, and mechanical coordination
Work Environment
Office-based with occasional site visits as needed
