Apply today and take the first step in working for a company where your contributions and career development truly matter!Job SummaryThe primary purpose of the Senior Accountant position is to play a vital role in the Company's financial management by preparing financial statements and various reports, performing account and bankreconciliations on a monthly basis, and taking on a leadership role within the Accounting department to serve as a mentor to members of the Accounting team and assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, as needed.Job DutiesPrepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes and other financial reportsDevelop and analyze reports for business operations and budgetsPerform audits and prepare documentation for external auditors, as needed, ensuring adherence to standard financial reporting requirementsWork with management to review monthly, quarterly and annual reportsReconcile accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy in reporting and ledger maintenanceTake on a leadership role to train and guide Accounting team members and assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, as requiredAssist with monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax filingsAssist with payroll journal entries and tax filings, as requiredPrepare monthly bank reconciliationsMaintain the fixed asset ledger & applicable depreciation entriesMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentBachelor's degree in Accounting4 years of work experience in Accounting or related fieldFundamental knowledge of GAAPProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily ExcelSales and payroll tax experienceUnderstanding of federal, state and local tax regulationsUnderstanding of capital & operating leasesExperience working with intercompany transactionsDetail and deadline orientedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skillsExceptional work ethic, 'can do' attitude, and ability to work as part of a teamWillingness and ability to cross-train as required and work hours necessary to support Company demandPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree or higher in AccountingCertified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations4+ years of work experience in Accounting or related fieldLeadership experienceExperience working for a multisite manufacturing company with multistate operationsExperience with ERP implementationsExperience with AcumaticaExperience with ASC 842 Lease AccountingExperience with mergers and acquisitions / integrationsAbout Apex Water And Process Inc.Apex Water and Process Inc.
