Assistant Café / Account Manager (Part-Time to Full-Time)

About the Role We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Assistant Café/ Account Manager to join our team in San Leandro. This hands-on role starts at approximately 20 hours per week and is expected to grow to 32 hours within six months, with training provided by our current café manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in account/client management and a background in food and beverage operations. This position involves daily oversight of two café locations (within 10 minutes of each other) inside a single client account. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to travel between locations and occasionally transport supplies. This is a growth-oriented opportunity with the goal of transitioning into Assistant Café/ Account Manager overseeing both locations. Key Responsibilities Assist in the daily operations of two café locations Refill supplies and restock products at both cafés Label food and beverage items as needed Receive and unload daily deliveries Clean and maintain coffee machines and general café equipment Transport supplies between locations to ensure stock availability Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs Uphold health and safety standards in all café areas Provide high-quality customer service when interacting with on-site staff or clients Learn and implement operational systems under the guidance of the café manager Support team coordination and communication across both sites Ability to work and communicate effectively with an off-site team Requirements Prior experience in account/client management or café/food service management Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable transportation and clean driving record Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to growing responsibilities Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Physical ability to lift boxes and stand for extended periods Preferred: Experience with coffee equipment and/or beverage service Preferred: Experience with Slack, Google Docs, and Sheets Schedule Part-time to start (~20 hrs/week), with additional hours and responsibilities added over time Ability to work between the hours of 6 am and 1 pm, Monday through Friday, according to business needs Some nights and weekends for special service events To Apply We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible with the right candidate.
