Human Resource Generalist

Delaware Opportunities Inc. is seeking a full-time, non-exempt HR Generalist to support the administrative and HR functions of the agency. The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource for employees and leadership, with a primary focus on workplace investigations, corrective action, and employee relations. This role ensures consistent, fair, and legally compliant handling of employee concerns while supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment. The ideal candidate brings strong judgement, discretion, and communication skills, along with hands-on experience managing sensitive employee relations matters.Required Skills:Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with diverse groups;Excellent organizational and time management abilities;Knowledge of employee benefits, leave laws and general HR functions;Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks;High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information;Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS or employee management systemsQualifications:Minimum of Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;Minimum of two (2) years' experience in human resources or related administrative support role, specifically with experience with employee relations and investigations;Experience in a non-profit or human services setting preferred but not required;HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus but not requiredFor questions, please contact Shelly Bartow at (607) 746-1601.Equal Opportunity Employer:Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
