Web UI DeveloperQuincy, MAWeb UI Developer - Quincy, MA (Greater Boston Area) As a Web/UI Developer at this firm, you will be responsible for developing interactive web based applications using industry best practices to deliver high value and quality to both internal and external clients. The Web/UI Developer works closely with Designers, User Interface Developers and Java Developers to build highly efficient, user-friendly interfaces.Position Responsibilities:Develop JavaScript using standard frameworks (jQuery, Knockout, Angular, etc.)Collaboratively translate wireframes, comps, and functional requirements into functional HTML/ CSS/ JavaScript within a JSP environmentProvide context and guidance for integration and implementation of Front End InterfacesImplement complex Ajax interactionsDevelop small to medium to large size custom JavaScript libraries for reuse across the application using standard architecturesApply knowledge of emerging technologies (HTML5, CSS3, et al) to create best of breed solutions for our clients and partnersUnderstand the limits of emerging technologies and be able to present support guidance and optimal solutions for non-compliant user agentsUnderstand and work around common issues like browser security issues, iframe to iframe communication, https requestsWork on CMS based environmentsDefine and parse valid data interchange structures to integrate with back end servicesUse standard toolsets to develop, validate and test codeUnderstand, implement and advocate front end performanceCollaborate within small to medium sized teams to resolve issues and dependencies to deliver to the client expectationExecute processes setup for the team by reviewing standards and frameworks for effective integration, track the plan and activities for the team; report next steps to Project Management teamProvide technology and implementation expertise to domain, projects, or clientMaintain leading-edge knowledge in emerging technologies; participate in knowledge sharing and lessons learned sessions from project experiencesExperience Guidelines:Ability to use advanced CSS tactics, HTML, and JavaScript libraries (JQUERY, JSON) to work around browser limitations.Must have experience developing complex, table-less layouts implemented with CSS.Contribute to the development and execution of unit, system and integration testing.Experience developing mobile optimized and responsive websitesStrong understanding of the SDLC processKnowledge of JavaScript/UI libraries and their use in implementing AJAX solutionsStrong organizational and estimation skillsHeroic get-it-done attitude, a team player and good communicatorAbility to thrive under tight deadlines and manage time efficientlyEffectively work within a collaborative team environmentExperience working on large branded websites a plusExperience using source control (GIT)Experience working with CMS, Portal technologies, and/or backend frameworks (Java,.NET)A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree (or equivalent four to six years IT experience) is required.
