Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mason III to perform advanced masonry and construction work in support of facilities, roadways, bridges, and infrastructure projects.
This role is responsible for analyzing job requirements, preparing materials and equipment, and executing complex concrete and masonry work, including forming, placing, and finishing structures such as curbs, slabs, foundations, drainage systems, and sidewalks. The Mason III also supports material procurement, may assist with plumbing-related repairs, and ensures all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
The ideal candidate brings extensive field experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship and safety practices in a fast-paced environment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of ten (10) years of masonry, concrete, or construction trade experience
Extensive experience with advanced concrete forming, placement, and finishing techniques
Experience analyzing job requirements and preparing materials and equipment
Experience working on roadways, drainage systems, and infrastructure projects
Ability to operate construction tools, vehicles, and motorized equipment
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate work vehicles
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience Preferences
Possession of a CDL Class B license or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
Experience working in public works, municipal, or large-scale infrastructure environments
Familiarity with drainage systems, culvert installations, and roadway construction
Experience performing minor plumbing installation or repair work
Experience assisting with project planning, material estimation, and reporting
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, humidity, noise, and dust
Ability to safely operate tools, heavy equipment, and machinery
Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Education Preferences
Technical training or coursework in masonry, construction, or a related trade
