The selected candidate will have to develop formal test procedures, instrumentation plans, test stand/fixture designs, data acquisition architectures, and any other necessary tools to allow for thorough and repeatable testing. It will be under the selected candidate responsibility to ensure and confirm data collected during the tests are accurate and complete.How You Will Contribute To Revolutionizing Electric AviationEstablish test plans, procedures, and implementation plans for complete and ongoing testing of the aircraft systems, subsystems, structuresData analytics collected by the tests will be shared with the engineering teams to enhance designsCollaborate on mechanical design of complex assembly/manufacturing drawing plansComplete data acquisition techniques, processing, and signal conditioning on sensorsDesign tests to validate systems, subsystems, or aircraft structuresAbility to perform hands-on tests including setting up and executing tests with test hardware and data acquisitionKeep calibration standards current and ensure calibrations are up to dateMinimum QualificationsB.S. in Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experienceExperience with Environmental testing, EMI testing, or Structural TestingExperience with strain gauges, accelerometers, linear potentiometers, string potentiometersExperience with CAD design toolsAbove And Beyond Qualifications3-5 years’ experience in the Aerospace or EV industryExperience in the certification of a vehicle to FAR Part 23/25Knowledge of DO-160GExperience with High Voltage SystemsPhysical Demands And Work EnvironmentAbility to ascend and descend ladders and/or stairsAbility to position self for inspection including confined, elevated and loud noise spacesAbility to position self to move and/or transfer materials, equipment and/or suppliesAbility to use tools, equipment, and technology necessary to do the job. This includes dexterity in instrument manipulationMedium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and may involve long portions of time on feetThe wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role.
