Allocation/Reimbursement Specialist

Greets and assists general public by providing information, instructions, or by receiving payments or applications; records cash and payment receipts as required. Processes and files correspondence, documents, and court orders within the department. Opens, sorts, and distributes department mail. Answers telephone calls and responds to general questions; directs other calls to proper individuals or takes messages. Completes and documents various mail duties as assigned. Operates computer or other office equipment as necessary. Assists with other clerical duties in absence of department clerical staff or on an as needed basis. Monitors and maintains department email/voicemail inbox, responds to inquiries or forwards as necessary to appropriate personnel. Cross-trains with other positions in the office as necessary. Maintains waiting room information and special related projects. Assists in administration of special department functions. Acts as liaison to community-based agencies regarding court referrals and follow-up casework. Qualifications Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Computer training in basic/introductory computer training in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel. Completion of at least one (1) business course beyond high school level. Required Experience: Two to three (2-3) years working experience in office, County government, or social service field preferred.
